Pedro Potier

Pedro Potier was born in Lisbon in 1975. From an early age, he showed a passion for drawing, which led him to pursue a career in the arts.

Influenced by European and American comics, he later expanded his artistic interests into fantasy and sci-fi illustration. Throughout his career, he has worked on a variety of projects, including storyboards, animation, schoolbooks, editorial magazines, trading card games, RPGs, and advertising.

In 2008, he started working in the video game industry as a concept artist, at studios such as Gameinvest and Biodroid. In 2015, he co-founded the Lisbon branch of Marmalade Game Studio, where he worked as Lead Artist until 2025.

In 2019, Pedro fulfilled a longtime ambition by illustrating for Magic: The Gathering, a game he’d been a fan of for years. Since then, he’s been a regular collaborator of Wizards of the Coast.

Pedro also contributed to education, developing and teaching a yearly Concept Art course at ETIC for four years.

He currently lives in Benfica with his talented wife, Patricia, and their beloved son.
